Planning Joshua Tree trip for March/April

I read GoinPostal's review of the Indian Cove Campgrounds and it has sparked me into planning a Joshua Tree Desert trip... anyone interested in meeting up, drop a line... I'm from LA so it's only a few hours away...P^

I wish... that is a great park, only been once as a starting point for The Big Ride (http://www.motocampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=354) and never had a chance to really look around.

I'll be east of the Mississippi so don't count on me. I'll be thru there next weekend, tho, on the way to Julian. Need me to check on anything for ya?

Close to both 29 Palms and (town of) Joshua Tree so plenty of supplies available.

SANDY! I've ridden some dirt around there and you can bury yurself real quick. It's great for quads, tho. Down the south entrance, turn east or west and there's a LOT of trails.

I was just in Julian yesterday... nice little town... it's around 4000 feet and was starting to cool around 3pm... then rode over to the state park in Borrego Springs... they were full up on the tent sites... only off road camping available in the park...

another vstrom rider and I were planning on next Thursday 3/18... meet in Beaumont... shoot out to the south entrance...ride through the park and stay at Indian Cove... Friday morning ride to a breakfast and home...
