I just found this site and think it is one of the best I've discovered... I've found more useful information here on camping than a lot of the others combined. I recently bought a 1KVStrom for a little adventure riding... dirt roads and light back country riding... I am working on some camping equipment for a cross country ride... I'm moving to the Hudson Valley in upstate NY and will be heading east to Savannah, GA then north to NY... planning on camping most nights... I hope to leave mid-April... I've gotten some great info here and hope to meet camping riders as I make my way across the country... this will be my 4th solo trip cross country... but the first one camping... anyway, thanks for a great site!

Welcome to the site Vrider....I'm new here myself and found this forum the best yet....I've not heard a disparing word from anyone...just a bunch of fun loving people who come accross very sincere and with a passion for camping. Hopefully, part of your trip north could be along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline drive. Excellent way to go north...no commercial traffic and spectactular views....it can be a bit slow at times...but heck...it's the ride and not the destination that counts.........right?
