Hi Chief, Welcome to Motocampers. Alaska is a great state,me and the mrs go to the Ancorage area every couple of years during the fall.

Wecome to the site Chief. Did an Alaska cruise 4 years ago, what a beautiful state. Hope to make it there sometime by bike. Just need more time off of work to do it.

my dream vacation is riding from South Texas, north west to all places in between & end up in Alaska!! I've got some family up there so I figure it's as good an excuse as any,lol.
Some day we'll have enough time off to actually do it! Till then we'll have to just ride around the 2nd biggest state in the U.S. :)

Hey Larry welcome to the site. I read it regular but don't post much but I am heading to Alaska this summer on my Vstrom from Tuscaloosa Alabama. Will be camping along the way. Any info about your great state would be appreciated.

Welcome. I was born in AK and rode to AK last year on a very memorable trip. we camped 1/2 of the time. I'm planning to return in 2012.

AK - One of the few states that I've never been to. You must have some great camping stories! Welcome aboard Chief.
