Just want to say Hi and that this is a great site to find out tons of things on camping sites, camper trailers, camping gear and just about anything on motorcycle camping. I also see that there are many different opinions on many subjects and that's a good thing. It's always good to see all sides and the how and why people arrive to their decisions.

For myself, I have been riding for over 35 years and my wife and I have reconnected with camping again. We presently enjoy our '98 Goldwing and we were pulling a color matched cargo trailer but we found that a tent camping was getting a little hard, so we purchased a camper trailer that we will be picking up at Americade this June. Maybe we'll see you there!

All the best to you all,
Bear

Thanks for all the kind words!

VaBob, as for bugs in the summer time, June has to be the worst with black flies and mostiquos. Mid July to the end of September have to be the best months.

Yes, both Canadian Curling Teams are doing very well. Don't miss the hockey game tomorrow night between USA and Canada. Should be an exellent match up!

Welcome to the site, the Canada hockey team is under a lot of pressure and it seems to be hurting them. On the other hand the US team has nothing to lose. Good luck. P^

Welcome, Bear.

I HAVE to go for a ride today, but the DVR is ready in case I'm not back for the puck drop.

Glad you are here.

Welcome to the site Bear. Great buch of people here. Glad you and yor wife enjoy two wheel outdoor activity. Unfortunately my other half has lost the interest in riding so no it is only me. I had no idea she lost interest, just one day she said she didn't want to ride anymore. Didn't want something to happen and leave the kids without anyone. Both our childred are grown up and on their own. But I respect her wishes.

Ride safe, new season is just about upon us who are cooped up with the weather.

Hi big Tom,
Lucky you for able to go for a ride today. A little too much "white stuff" on the roads today for me to do the same, but Spring is upon us. Passed through Yuma in February of '08 on a one month trek to go and taste the California wines and we just loved the city. Couldn't believe how hotter it was.

Hi PaPa John,
She might come around once the riding weather is back. Any Grand kids to keep her at home?

Hi Triker Tom,
I will certainly check out those sites, thanks!
We were planning on going back to California this year via the northen States but our daughter decided to get married. Big hole in the budget now! LOL! I guess we will go next year. We are planning weekly trips instead, so we might pop in and say Hi at Meadowbrook Campground.

Three grandkids. They live in another town 64 kms. away, so we visit periodically.

I doubt she will come around. Never rode last year. She stated once that she might go out for a ride once in a blue moon, but I informed her that having a passenger infrequently is not to my liking as skill get rusty. If she wants to ride again, it will be on her own bike. I know when we first started riding together, she really enjoyed it. She indicates that her one knee bothers her and she can't sit too long, but I usually stopped every hour or so or whenever she wanted a break. I'm not one for long stints in the saddle, as I prefer a slower laid back pace.

Probably end up selling her gear, except the helment. Don't like someone getting a used helment, besides its at the stage or replacement.

Oh well, 39 days (maybe) till riding season - I don't think so here, as the weather can change so quickly in the west.

Big strom headed our way.........25 to 40cm (12 to 20 inches) starting tonight. Will probably delay my riding season by at least a week......Argh!!

The forecast has changed to only 10 inches........yeah baby!! LOL!!
