ZION NATIONAL PARK

Mount Kinesava.

On May 1st, during the park?s law enforcement refresher, dispatch notified rangers that a park researcher had just reported seeing parachutes in the air in the vicinity of Mount Kinesava. Rangers drove to the Chinle trail near the park boundary and contacted four men carrying mid-size backpacks, none of whom would submit to a consent search of his belongings. A search warrant was prepared and served on the men, resulting in the seizure of four parachutes and associated equipment, including video cameras. Each was issued a single mandatory appearance violation notice on scene for illegal air delivery (36 CFR 2.17 (a) (3)). An investigation into additional violations committed by the foursome is underway.

I remember reading it is the second highest bridge in the country. There is a road underneath the bridge from the north side, that would be the prime spot for watching. The whole area is beautiful, just crowded around the bridge during the event. This attracts people from everywhere.

Been on that road several times while I was attending the National Mine Academy in Beaver, lovely country, spent lots of time around the new river and turkey roost, and sundays at the 1/8th mile drag strip.

ummmmm.....I may be able to dredge up some vid of a certain person BASE jumping from the Tower of the Americas in San Antonio. This activity is not condoned, and any resembleance to any person who may be a member of this forum is purely coincidental.

Really? Cool!

Hmmm. I don't suppose, by any stretch of the imagination, that you've ever BASE jumped, have you Tiny? ;) (Innocent question. Not at all accusing you of being the person in the video, you understand. )
