Hope I did this right. One is the 7 mile bridge from the raised section where ships can go under it, one from the Knights Key (BMW campout) campground '03, and one from Bridal viel falls Nanathala National Forest. Probably did not spell that right, and I don't remember if this was '02 or 03.

This brings back fond memories, my wife and I ate at the Mountain Top Cafe in April of 1994 while on a ride to visit family in Palmdale. It was the BEST pizza I have ever had. Maybe it was because it was an hour after dark and I was very cold, but I will always remember it as the best ever and well worth the ride from AR :) .

Some random pic's of our Labor Day weekend.

816817818819820

A few us got together and headed to Pio Pico in Jamul Ca. located in San Diego County. Just a stones throw from Tecate Mexico. The weather was great even though we had the monsoon thing happening. Rained around us never on us and the huge clouds overhead kept the temps down.

Nice ride, good food, and of course good friends. All the makings for a perfect weekend.

Hey, Blues Traveler!
Sure was nice meeting you at the "non" event up at Browns!
What an awesome set up you have on your BMW. Like I said, when I grow up, I want to travel just like Blues Traveler!
I see you finally caught that elusive trout.
We also have a few pics of you and your solar panel, but at the moment they are at home and we are in the Bay Area getting the Urals serviced.
In fact, the grey cammo Ural pic you posted is here in the shop where ours are getting serviced. I guess the owner of TriQuest Motors had to come over and tow it here because the clutch "broke".

If you fellow MotoCampers ever get the chance to see Blues Travler's rig, youre in for a treat. Everything has a purpose, a place, and it looks awesome.

Hey there Black and Blue. It was nice meeting the both of you too. As for the fishing I tried everything the following morning, no luck. Got back to camp and while eating breakfast we watched them stock the streams with at least 2000 trout. One of my friends, Troy, he showed up and handed me a small jig that he swears by. The pickins were easy after that.

Here's one of me and my Beemer at last weekends BMW Big Bear Rally all setup.

does he ride with it up like that? or stand it up when he gets somewhere? that is way cool..... been thinking that the cheap sites are no power no water, don't need water, and don't want to pay extra money for little power i would need. this looks like a good option...

Some Big Bend West Texas Pics to consider. Ran into some Houston Gold Wingers who invited me to keep up and camp with them at Ft. Davis, TX. So I did. I did the round trip from Killeen Tx to Big Bend in 3 days with 1363 miles... Loved it. But it was HOT as heck in May at Big Bend. I do not recommend riding from May to Oct at Big Bend unless you are prepared.

Sapper welcome to the site spend a little time looking around, if you have any questions I'm sure there's somebody here that will have the answer.

Thanks for posting the pictures, I like seeing old photos from past riding days. Back in the good old days when you went riding it was always an adventure.

Moe, welcome to the site great pictures and one from Andersonville is
amazing and sad. I really enjoy old Civil War sites but have yet to make it to Andersonville but I'm sure I'll get there someday.

Say Tim ... Think you're mistaken. It looks to be a Evolution engined Softtail. Maybe a Heritage, or a Fat Boy.
If you could deliver it, I think I could fix it. P^

Hard to tell just what it is until you started digging into it. But if anyone could do something with it, I would say it would be you George, after all you are the "Wizz"! :D

Well, it's a Wide Glide (at least it says it is) but it is reasonably complete.

So, here is my new screen saver from Monument Valley:

Nope, ain't a Wide Glide ... The bike in Tim's picture has the Heritage style tins on the front forks. Same as a Fat Boy, along with a Softail style frame
Wide Glides have no tins ... and Dyna's also have side mounted rear shocks ...

George, click the Craiglist link, there's a Wide Glide hiding in there! P^ The seller has a ton of stuff to sell with the bike.

The picture of the bike I posted was from a swap meet in Wauseon Ohio a few weeks ago. The story goes the bike was in a fire and then was crushed and left as you see it. It has been at the meet for several years now and usually gets a reaction or two from the crowd. This all stems from one from a few years ago. It was a panhead that was crushed into a 2'x2' cube and sold as art for over 6K. The guy said he was going to make a coffee table out of it for his den........
