I 'base camped' a couple of nights(Sept 6&7/09) at this little park, situated amongst some giant Coastal Redwoods, along CA SR 36. It provides an excellent base for exploring the CA coastline, from Fortuna to Crescent City.(Was also a great ride along SR 36, from Red Bluff, CA P^)
There are some flush toilets and there are hot showers available(fee), firewood available(fee) No laundry facilites/WiFi.
Cost was $18/night for 2 tents/bikes. We had campsite #2, which is located right near the Van Duzen River, a couple of pit outhouses, a water tap and the main swimming beach.
Staff were very friendly and made a couple of 'security patrols' each night.
There was no road traffic noise and this park is no where near as crowded as the nearby Grizzly Redwoods State Park.
Great little park for the touring motorcyclist
