I have been using PIAA 910s for a while. These are very nice 85 watt lights
that will throw a very bright spot ahead of you.

The problem with these in the 'spot' beam form is it's almost too much and too
far if you can believe that. Your eyes tent to focus on the spot area.

I have tried an HID conversion kit from www.vvme.com and was instantly won
over with HIDs. However, they produce noise into my CB and reduce the usable
range so I had to uninstall those.

I recently saw a set of Baja Design Fuego 4" HID lights but whew... $600+ was
too much for me.

Then, Larry over at ST-Owners posted these lights made by Motorcycle
Accessories - also referred to as Kragen lights. They are about $110 each.
Now, that doesn't sound cheap but in the world of HIDs it's not bad and with
these the ballasts and starter are housed within the light housing.

These are a Euro driving beam so they are not spots but they are very
close to right between driving and spot beams.

Here is the cheapest I've found these lights so far:

I took a few pictures below:

One thing to remember, I have mine slaved to the high beam and I am
running 65/70 watt headlights.. so, they are pretty bright to begin with.

My 1st test was to have the PIAA 910 on one side and HID on the other so I could compare.

Pretty darn cool looking install, Joe. I like the look of the light pattern, too.

Nice catch, nice find, nice job, nice article.

Good find! One of the 7" lights would work great for a dirt bike conversion as well considering they only draw 35 watts.

The only problem with that might be that they are advertised as off road lights only so it would need to be a non-dual sport bike... Using these as your regular low beam light will blind people...The beam is tall and doesn't have the horizontal cut-off most headlights have.
