VERY NICE (a solid 10)

Aux Arc Park is a Corps of Engineers Park located on the banks of the Arkansas River across the bridge and about 2 miles south of Ozark, AR. There are 60+ sites, and all the amenities, including 2 nice bath/shower houses, are clean & well kept. Most impressive are the shaded camp sites, and the view of the river and the bluffs across from the park.

The riding in the area is first class in all directions, as are most roads in that part of Arkansas. You can even throw a line in the river below the lock & dam, and catch a catfish for supper.

Hey!... I was in that area on 10/10... I went over the bridge and pulled over to change my dark shield out. It was about 6:30pm and I was trying to make it to the Talimena Drive... I made it but it was 90 miles of dark riding in deer country then 10 miles of thick fog.. I felt like Trailace there for a second.

Good review.. gonna have to target this for a MotoCamper event.

Well, we were about 2 miles from you standing around a nice campfire, and cooking some kind of fantastic supper. You should have stopped. We specialize in offering food & comfort to tired, cold, wet bikers.

This place would indeed be a nice spot for a MotoCampers event.

Well, I wasn't tired, wet or cold... but, had I known you were there I probably would have pulled in and camped....

looking at the campground map, looks like there is only one shower in the camping area?

There is a shower house next to site D20, which is the one we used, and I believe another in the "C" section close to C12.
