Warning: Don't try this at home. :)

I pull a AOSOM bicycle trailer behind my motorcycles, scooter, and bicycle for light duty and low speed hauling. The trailer weighs 35lbs and is rated for 300lbs. It is designed to be hauled behind a bicycle so take care.

I have about 1000 miles on it with no problems. Longest run was from Robbinsville,NC to Tellico Plains,TN via the Cherohala Skyway, then to Maryville,TN for a Walmart/Home Depo load, then back to Robbinsville,NC via the Dragon. Pulled and handled just fine.

I did replace the tires with Kevlar belted BMX tires and the tubes with heavy duty Slime tubes.

I have pulled it at speeds up to 65MPH but usually use it for local runs to Walmart, Homedepo, etc. No problem with bearing or tire heat up.

No tag or lights but the police around here up in the mountains don't bother me. Maybe could be registered as a homebuilt trailer. The height of the trailer is low enough that it doesn't block the bike's lights.

Trailace,
Thanks. I enjoyed your TAT thread.
I grew up in Houston back in the old days. My 50th Lamar High School reunion is coming up next year. Yipes.

Welcome Barnone!

I'm not a trailer guy, either, long as I am tall enough to stack it up on the bike!

Glad you are here!

Welcome.

Please be sure to keep us updated on the life of those bearings. I'm assuming those are the weakest point.
