Wifie and I had a pretty good touring year, 15 states, 12,360 miles....... I miss it already!

Pic 3? The one with forest, wife, and tent? Nice campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway.... can't remember the name, but it was within a day's ride of Ashville, North Carolina.... we were the only ones in the place. Heard rumors of bear activity, so I was careful to bring my magnum bear spray into the tent with us, along with my teeny weeny headlamp. Had to get up and pee at oh dark thirty, and so we got out, me with the bear spray and my weenie of a headlamp..... man, was it dark in that campground! Really dark! My weenie of a headlamp only shone out about two feet..... I was stumbling around feelin' for a bear to spray! They all got away, however.......:p

I can relate to the really dark camping. that pic reminds me of our favorite camping location, Ipsut creek. Do a search for ipsut creek in the reviews. We loved it but is now not accessable.

I'm almost ashamed that I only made 6 states this year. Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico. They are big states, and I did some great rides and camping, but just the 6. It does look like I ought to make 18,000 miles this year...
