Hi to all :)
We are planning to take a trip into Utah's U.S. National Parks on our Urals. Does anyone know what's the typical weather/temp. like in October? Camping out is a must. We figured it will get cold at nights, but how cold? The Park Service info. is sketchy. Will take any useful info. We haven't been thru on bikes before and encountered snow a few years back in the motorhome at the higher elevations.
Thanks

We had snow in AZ on 9/8/09 at the 8,000 ft level and above. Utah is north of AZ, so I would be prepared for some cold, snow, and ice.

Ohhh. Mac is right, it was cold this last week in NE Arizona.
You might try 'Weather Underground' they will at least try to go that far out on records and such. I'd give you my link, but it's Yuma specific, it will still be calling for 100º

I should be in Monticello UT on 9/20 and 10/2 and it looks like Day 69 and Night 49.
What date will you be there?

Hi Rick
The plan is to leave either on the 30th of Sept. or the 1st of Oct. and hopefully will be in Utah's southern part by the second day. From there we plan to mosey on up thru the Nat'l Parks system toward Evans, Colorado. Our alternative plan is if it gets too cold, we'll head south into the low deserts of Arizona. We just have the itch.:D I don't know if we will be in that area, (Monticello), on the 2nd of Oct. It would be nice to finally meet you, but we just don't know. Is this part of your TAT Trip?
