We (my wife and I) have stayed in this campground a recently. It is a VA State Park campground and has volunteer host but maintained by VA employees. The facilities are clean with hot water. I recommend this for anyone moto camping. This looks like an newer CG/SP and things are well kept. A very big lake basically surrounds the CG and there is a nice beach area. This CG seems to cater to the typical RV campers, but each site has a tent area that is covered with very small pea gravel that makes for a soft sleeping area. Overall a very good CG. This CG is located 5 miles or so from Appomattox National Park and is well worth the tour of that site. The CG offers many activities each weekend night.
