More and more taxes, fewer and fewer services.
I don't agree with the nay-sayers quoted in the article.
A park system (or a single park) can grow and grow and grow as there is no reason for any park to be efficient.
Look at the park's quoted as closing some little used centers; no complaints.
Look at the nay-sayer's quotes... doom of the system, cuts will harm the system, etc; they are really just spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt... the usual way to cast doubt on any proposed change.
How many parks have you gone to that have nice shiney new centers (the Grand Canyon comes to mind), the old centers were just fine; but, the new ones, are just that...new... and this is the park that increased its one-day fees... for what? Shiney new buildings....
Love the parks, I just don't love the way they've been managed for the last 50 years.

I really don't have any idea how they've been managed in the past, never had any problems so I've been happy.
Any specifics?

My son and I visited Yosemite last June and the visitor center parking lot was a horrendous mess because of the construction going on. Lots of money being spent in Yosemite.

To cut down on food supplement costs for the animals the National Park system is requesting all visitors to please "Feed The Bears."
