Area Riding:

Excellent riding along Puget sound on Smugglers Cove Road as well as WA 525. Some sections of both roads are very twisty. There are many small maritime communities along western Whidbey Island..

Deception Pass is about 30 miles north of the park along WA 525.

Here is the loop I took (140 miles) with some pics.

Boy, that's some kind of beautiful. Seems a little pricey for my blood, but that is a glorious part of the world.

All WA state parks are $28/night for standard sites. :(

It is a very nice area. When the housing market comes back, we're seriously considering moving over to the island. Monthly passes for the ferry are quite reasonable.

Sure looks nice, how many tents can you have for the $28?

I'm not sure :think1:
but, I could have easily fit two or three large and a small tent. The campsites are huge.
