How many of ya'll 2 upers
1. Take a Trailer and a T Bag or some other kind of luggage bag on back of bike?
2. Take only a trailer?
3. Take only a T Bag or other kind of Luggage Bag on back of bike?

I'd be a 3,
Hepco and becker saddle bags and top case, waterproof duffle across the rear seat and a magnetic tank bag on the tank....

I'm building a monowheel trailer for when we camp together because of THIS:

I was a 2 uper, now a 1 uper. #3 for me.
But after three riding seasons on the ST1100 I have come to the conclusion this bike is not my cup of tea (coffee). It is up for sale and now I am searching for a new ride. I'm more interested in a more upright position. Had an 83 goldwing and enjoyed it.

Even one up, I am usually a 2. I like the ability to disconnect at my destination and go off exploring without unpacking everything first. I also like the ability to bring home a souvenir without having to figure out where I can stuff it. We often take a day ride with an empty trailer, just in case we run across a yard sale treasure along the way.

I'm a #3 as my old bike can't handle two up and/or a trailer. Wouldn't mind a hack again one day.

When I used to ride 2 up(till the mid 80s), we didn't even need a T Bag for a week long trip, although I had a large Tank Bag. Things were really pared down, simple/basic, yet comfortable. I even had a Styrofoam cooler inside my top box! P^

Now, I very rarely ride 2 up and I am a # 3, carrying more gear now than ever !!

It's hard when I have a very capable 'Motorized Mule', but I should get back to my 'Backpacking Basics'. :o

So far I am a #3 - saddlebags and top case full, with larger stuff strapped to the luggage rack on the top case. This was with my daughter as passenger, she was able to pack pretty light. Waiting to see how things work out this spring ~ I'm thinking I might have to consider a trailer eventually.

I couldn't get enough gear and the wife and the Princess on the bike for motorcycle camping...so I bought the wife her own bike. Now we have plenty of room.

Interesting thought lytle, but we also bought Cardo-Scala Q2 radios. It is amazing what you can find to talk about on those long trips.

Voted #2.
With 33 sq.ft. of space we don't need any extra bags.
Now if the Wife had her way, We would be pulling 6 trailers hooked together and I would still be trying to find a place for my extra T-Shirt.
