We just came back from a two night campout (car camping), we camped at the Kettle Falls, WA NRA (http://www.recreation.gov/camping/Kettle_Falls_Campground_Wa/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=74068&topTabIndex=CampingSpot) campground. It was very nice and only about 1/3 full during mid-week.

We stayed at site #65 on the apex of the three loops at the campground. Beautiful views of lake Roosevelt and surrounding moutains.

Loop two(middle loop) you would have to walk quite a distance to use the restroom facilities located on loop1 or loop 3. Needless to say, loop 2 was not as populated with campers. :)

There is the usual wind that picks up in late morning and also early evening due to the campgrounds location on a small penninsula that juts out into the lake which is in a canyon. Gusts were pretty stiff in the early evening which kept most of the bugs away but required staking the tent down.

Facilities listed on the website state no running water or flush toilets. This is not the case, they have two large restrooms facilities with a few CLEAN flush toilets and two sinks with CLEAN running water. NO showers.

Campsites were nice and level with asphalt back-ins/drivethroughs. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring with a fold over grill.

The only negative for us was with a Boise Cascade Mill about a mile north of the campsite. It's a 24hr operation and some of the mill noise at times was
irritating.

Here are some pics of our campsite-

There is a Chevron station close by on WA-395 near the campground as well as a Wallymart super center 8 mi east on 395 in Colville, WA where, if needed you can purchase firewood bundles as well as any other supplies you may need.

We experienced late afternoon t-storms all three days. :D

All in all a very nice camping experience.

Did you eat a meal at Mo's in K falls? Mo is an old friend, was once even a relative:) His dad was married to my aunt:) I even know what his real name is, and it isn't Mo...

Ate off the grill while we were there. ;) Didn't venture off into town except to pass through on a day excursion up to Ione. Talk about off the grid. Ione, WA is a very quiet town.

Thanks for the review!
I didn't even know about this campsite despite the fact that I have ridden right by it many times on a 'day ride', from Penticton, BC.
