It’s been a long time since we have been able to go any kind of a Trip and yet again we had Photo issues/Camera Malfunctions. Right after we got to the island, our camera died. It was long overdue for replacement, BUT WHY NOW…lol…
This is such a Great place for Photo opportunities, and no stores carried any Digital Cameras, except Radio Shack, and of course they were sold out. We again were forced to use our Phones for taking Pictures which really limited the Photos we could take. The first two pages of the ferry ride photos were taken with the OLD broken POS.

This was a Great Trip right from the 5am time we left Home on the 3rd.
The majority of our time, as you can see from the Pics, was spent on the Balcony outside Our Hotel Room. You could say this is where we Camped..lol

We spent the 4th Riding around the Island seeing all we could. There was a lot we could have taken Pics of, but was just not conducive to the phones capabilities.

Not much for trip reports but this was a Great Getaway and they do have a nice campground in the state park. I would highly recommend this location for anyone taking a trip in the area.

Hey Dave,

If I was going to ask, I would have had you fly your butt out here on the 3rd……LOL
I left that part out. The FIRST thing I did when we got back was Buy a New Camera and a 4 gig card to go with it...lol.
I cringe to think how nice the Pics would be and how many more we would have, if I had this new camera. I love it so much it almost makes me want to go back to get my pictures I missed…lol. Oh well, I will just have to take it on my Chuckanut Drive Trip later this summer.
This is a Highly raved about Ride that I never knew was there until I read about it on the 1800 Forum.

That is another place you would want to go if you get this way. It could easily be done before or after going to Orcas. The only reason we did not do it was the traffic was WAY too bad to even consider it.

Nice pics. We were planning to camp on San Juan Island in Aug. but, the campsite is booked solid through end of Sept. Orcas look like a nice alternative. Thanks for the tip on the state park camping there.

My grandfather was the foreman of the CCC crew that built the rock tower on Mt Constitution.

Now that we're camping,I want to go stay in the park.
