Left for Yosemite NP Thursday at 5:00 am. Went directly out of the desert and started with the scenic route. Arrived at Hogson Meadows Campground at about 6:00pm. 650 miles or so, what a great ride. We rode in the Wast entrance, got in the park less than 15 miles from camp. Met up with about 20 friends, and arrived in time for Hot Doggies and beans.
Friday was tour the Yosemite Valley and check out the east entrance to the Park. Pretty relaxing day with some of the very best scenery I have ever seen. Hamburgers for the last of it...
Saturday took us over the 10,000' Tioga Pass and out the East entrance to Lee Vining. Gas and grits at the Mobil in Lee Vining, CA. Gourmet fish Tacos. I'm not kidding, Black Beans and Mangos and Red Cabbage on the fish tacos. Holy Mike. It's worth the Google search to see where, you'll want to go. Dinner was Fish Sandwich with beans and corn.
Sunday, we left out of the South entrance, making it all four portals that we rode through. A really wonderful long weekend. BTW, I used my annual pass in and out, a great purchase at $80.00.
I'm trying a new deal with Picasa, so far so good.
