I thought I would post this up since there are those of us who enjoy a good Micro Brew. It actually came in handy on my last trip in Trinidad, Co.

I like a beer at the end of a hard day of riding. P^

Yeah... a cold one is nice at the end of a long day of riding. A semi-warm one will do in a pinch. HA!

Now if you could put it in a file format most of us can open.;)
I dont have a .gpx program as a plain tomtom xl is more than good enough for most trips.
I read the list of programs and none are anything I want on my PCc . Now if you could export to a excel file that would be nice ?

.GPX is standard GPS format. Any other format, and your GPS could not understand it!

If you want to just read it, send it to Wordpad or Notepad. It's is simple text with keywords for fields.

What I'd like is .POI format so I don't have to spend all of 2 minutes making a GPX into a POI so my Garmin Zumo can read it. :-P

I understand that its a standard format for GPS but many dont use the GPS and to read it in Notepad is a nightmare . There is a whole list of programs that read it but none that I would install on my PC as I dont need them .
If you have a simpler GPS it wont be able to read them either . Many people dont have the higher end GPS's and a Excell sheet would be nice for those of us looking for them local.

Hey Jeff... it is easy. Just download Garmin's POI loader and let the app do all the work for you. Very lite and simple to use.

edit: Here is a direct link: POI LOADER (http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/)

Or maybe you can go over to poi-factory.com, register and download the TomTom format. P^

Some files are exportable for tomtom some are not. American Breweries is.

That's why I said "all of 2 minutes" to do it. I was joking! :)

If you are in Wisconsin, and want a physical map, http://www.eatwisconsincheese.com/wisconsin/travelers_guide.aspx. I t says cheese, but it used to have beer and wine also. Maybe they changed it. I keep one at my desk.

If not, here is the most current recommendation I an find for getting a copy.

"Although you can get a copy of the Taster's Guide at many Wisconsin Visitors Centers, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism will not distribute the map by mail. Instead, you can get a single copy free by sending a self-addressed, stamped #10 size envelope to Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board-RBP, PO Box 1012, LaCrosse, Wisconsin 54602. "

Maybe this'll help?:

http://trailcentral.com/gps/kml_gpx.php

-- or here's one where you open the .KML file with notepad or some such, copy the whole schmear and paste it into the little window:

http://www.takitwithme.com/ge2gps.html

-- and hit "convert".

Cheers!
