That first pic is amazing!
I know pics never do justice to anything, so that must have been really breath taking in person. Gotta put a Canada tour on my World Motorcycle Domination list.

this pic is from the same spot , its less than an hour from home , because im so used to it i find the mountains dull , when i entered the flat lands i found the views more interesting because they are not what im used to , big skys . i must say the roads are quite dull though when its flat and straight . i find the foot hills on the east side of the rockys quite pleasant , as im used to the more rugged west side

This is normal... we become desensitized to our surroundings.
You know what the say: "The grass is always greener... so on and so forth"
Awesome pic. I'll trade you some flatland for a mountain any freakin day.

Several years back my wife and myself along with another couple camped in jasper, made the ride up to the Columbia ice fields and took in lake louise, fantastic scenery, loved every mile of the ride.

i camped near the hot springs and went for a dip in the evening , because its government run its only $6 . although they charge you $8 if you want to have a fire at your camp site . i like traveling in alberta , your dollar goes so much further than in B.C. because they dont have a 7% sales tax . gas is less , as well as food .

it was 92 cents per litre because it was the long week end , so you looking at $20 canadian to fill your tank if MT . it was my first trip with my new side cases an i noticed a large drop in milage , partly from the higher speeds i was traveling due to the straighter roads and few people [cops] and the wind aswell . if you go through grande praire or P.G they will be the last places for lowprice shopping at wallmarts or equivelant .

Thanks for the info swandog, it's not as bad as I though it would be on the gas. I think we are going through Grande Praire.
