I got here after dark as well, but not too late.

The park has three major camping areas and if you come in after hours, just proceed to the top of the hill. The lower campgrounds may or may not be open.

The camp hosts are in the upper campgrounds.

This was a nice place to stay with nice people. I wanted to leave early the next morning and the camp hosts radioed the Ranger living in the park to come help me with paperwork.

There were many available places to camp. I asked if I could be close to the shower house and the ranger put me in a nice RV spot right next door. Total cost: $8.

But the staff was great here! The Ranger even had her husband bring me some ice since the ice boxes were empty... and she even knew it was for a couple cold ones. (Yep, no alcohol in TN state parks)... She just ask that I not flash it around everywhere.... no problem!

Facilities were great. Water was nice. It began to lightening while her, her husband, and I were talking and she said if the weather comes in, to move over to the pavilion and camp there... Big nice fire pit in there as well. She even told me I could park my bike in there.

If you are in the area, this is a great place to camp!

I actually found a couple of pics:

That's a nice park. I stayed there after riding up the Natchez Trace. I stayed in the tent area and it was real cozy. I drink my spirits in a travel mug to be discrete. It fools them every time! I continued a little further east to Lynchburg.. for medicinal purposes of course.

Haha... nice. I prefer a couple tall boys at the end of the ride so there is a little more work req'd.

Nice park and nice people... Lots of Amish running around too. Some are very friendly. Others, not so much.
