I rolled into here about midnight and left early so I don't have a very comprehensive review... but I have a few things to mention.
1. If you go in after they close, the lock on the gate is not "really locked". I learned this only after taking my Dual Sport bike down the hill to the left of the gate and climbing around up to the road.
If you do stay here do NOT let the camp hosts screw you like they screwed me. I went to pay the next morning before I left and they charged me $18 for tent only. They said it was a new fee schedule for all TN state parks. I nearly passed out. This was after I talked them down from $20.
I realize I was at a RV spot but most hosts (in fact all I have dealt with) will only charge for tent camping if: a. tent space is full or b. plenty of RV space, you come in after close, and you leave the next day. (read my next review)
But don't misunderstand... he told me if I had camped in "Family Camping", then I still would have been charged $18. He stated he was not charging me 'extra' for staying at the RV spot.
At any rate....
It is a beautiful park though.
The showers were filthy but the water was nice. It looked like a pig showered off in there.
If you want to stay there, inquire as to what the rates will be BEFORE you sleep. Or just leave early... I would not normally say that as you can see from this report, I went to find camp hosts and pay before I left, but since I know from another TN park stay, it is $8 for tent only, I have more than paid for the next guy.

(If you check rates, please note that the maximum fee is shown in the table, not the fee that you may pay.)
