Now that spring has sprung I have bought the bike some new tires and some rear brakes. Over the last few weeks I've changed all the fluids, adjusted valves, torqued heads, synced throttle bodies, lubed cables, and just about everything I could think of. To celebrate I took a nice ride out to the German styled town of Leavenworth by way of Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 to Hwy 97 and Old and new Blewett Pass. I took Hwy-2 over Stevens Pass and then the West Snoqualmie Road home. Three peaks and just under 300 miles.

It's fun working on your bike and then taking it for a ride. Nice pics.

What the story behind the Batman sticker?

No real story other than my two brothers giving me hell about having a bike that looks like something Batman would ride. We've called it the Bat Bike since new so one of them bought the sticker for me a couple of years back. You know, every time I think about buying a new GS I ride the Bat Bike and decide to keep it. It really is one of those almost perfect bikes. Touring, commuting, carving, and camping. All with the added benefit of being able to stand flat footed at a stop light.
