I am planning an overnight trip to KY and would like to camp somewhere in the Land Between the Lakes. Any suggestions?? Also, are there any must see roads in the area?
Thanks,
Mike

The Trace, which is the road that runs the length of LBL is a nice winding road.

It has been a while since I have camped there, but we always camped at Cravens Bay on Barkley Lake. It's primitive camping there with several miles of gravel to get to it. We always stayed there for the fishing. There are some nicer spots if you are just wanting to camp and ride.

Hillman Ferry is one of the nicer ones with picnic table, and fire rings. They have restrooms with showers. This campground is located at the northern end of LBL.

Piney is located at the southern end and has all the goodies as above, and I think they also have small one room cabins that have electricity but no plumbing. You use the camp restrooms and showers.

Energy Lake is near the dam, but I don't know much about it.

Here is the site for LBL

You might want to eat at Patti's in Grand Rivers. P^
