If I don't hear any negatives, It looks like this will be my first stop in Arkansas. About 350 miles from home so should make a easy 1st day ride. It looks like a nice area. There is a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps3hNkJXEbc. As it looks right now, After Albert Pike it will be on to Petit Jean State park,Devils Fork,Rush landing,Lost Valley State Park,Mt. Magazine State Park,Millwood State Park(Millwood Lake) then back home.

I've haven't been to Albert Pike, but Rush Landing has a couple of miles of gravel getting to the campground. Just thought you might want to know.

Thanks. Is the gravel packed enough for a Goldwing and trailer or should I camp somewhere else and visit Rush with just the bike?

I haven't camped at Albert Pike, but visited it while on a fishing trip to AR a few weeks ago. Very nice facility with all the amenities. Also hiking & fishing opportunities if you are so inclined. If the weather heats up, there is a nice swimming hole in the Little Missouri River right there in the park, but I suspect the water is brrrrrrrrrrrr.

I was there a year ago and the road was well packed and graded. If your comfortable with the GoldWing on a good gravel road, I don't think the trailer will give you any trouble.

Guy GREAT! My driveway is 1/4 mile gravel and I drive it a few times every day rain or shine so I'm used to it.

I have 2 miles of gravel before I get to the nearest pavement, but don't always go to the nearest pavement. :D

Sometimes it's 50 miles or more before I get on pavement. P^

I LOVE my Dual-Sport.

I was just up there visiting a couple of weeks ago. The road is still gravel but well packed. Should not be any problem driving with a trailer, as always be careful. I plan on doing some camping in that area when weather gets a mioght cooler

Hot Honda I was planning a camp&ride to Ar when it cools off. Do you ride a dualsport or street bike? I plan to try and hit mostly dirt roads on the way up. Hopefully find a place to do some fly fishing some where along the way:bike1::fish1::tent4:

I have camped and backpacked at Albert Pike many times. Every October I pack the Eagle Rock Loop Trail (31 miles) in one day. If you camp there, see the Winding Stairs and Little Missouri Falls. There is a store about 6 miles away at the intersection of highways 369 and 84.

I keep considering taking a slightly short (90 mile, 2.5 hour) ride up there this month but haven't yet and may not get around to it until next spring. I have camped out at Hot Springs however, as well as Eureka Springs.
