Go it all hooked up too! Used the supplied RAM mount and wired it to switchable power on the bike. I sprung for the XM puck and mounted it as well. Man... this is nice. Not sure how I did without it.
Does anyone have any interesting POIs? I'd like BMW service centers and Harley Dav. dealerships if you have them??
Pics forthcoming. :D

There are tons of places to find POI's. One place to go is to POI Factory http://www.poi-factory.com/ You will find tons of POI's that you will be able to load onto the Zumo. I too have the Zumo 550 and I don't know how I lived without it either. As with all GPS's you will run into a lot of situations where it takes you on routes that are not necessarily the quickest or the best way of getting there. That said, it's still an awesome toy that everyone should have.

I sure do want one but can't make up my mind to spend the money to replace my 2730.
I'm tempted to pay the extra HD tax and get the Harley version just because it has the dealers already loaded and it says Harley on it.:D

Go to zumoforums.com. Best place to find stuff for the Zumo.
I am unfortunately on my 4th Zumo since December. I keep getting defective ones. This one had to be reset (removing all customizations like poi's, routes, bluetooth, and favorites) yesterday too. I hope that was a one time thing.
Good luck with yours and enjoy the riding partner. I have gotten to the point where I miss it when it's not working in just 5 short months!

It froze on me twice during my trip. 8 days... two freezes. I had to pull the battery both times.

For sure... getting pics and video together now. It will take a bit. I'll post it up here before anywhere else!
I did Jellico, TN (trailhead) to Trinidad, CO skipping most of Arkansas because I had already done it.
What a ride man...

Cool how did you like west OK? Now you set up to join Flingshot, Mac and me this September. :D

Mixed feelings about west OK - particular the pan handle - or parts of it rather. It was starting to wear on me after a while. Thankfully there are mostly 60+ mph gravel out there. OK from the Eastern border to about Liberal KS is truely beautiful. But there is a window of country out there that just sucks you dry. Then as you start to get into NM - things start looking up again.
I am afraid the birth of my little boy in September will pretty much put the brakes on any motorscooter rides! My wife will make sure she sees to that.:sick

I need to find a local 550 tutor so I can learn how to down load and make routes.
