We bought this last fall but finally was able to put it to use. The wife and 5 year old daughter went with me. We towed the camper to a KOA about 20 miles away. Didn't want to go too far since it was our first trip and also due to only having 2 days to camp.

Setup was pretty easy. The add a room took some time to figure out the poles. I passed on the offer for them to demonstrate it when I bought it. The weather turned out pretty decent. A light rain last night for about 2 hours but then stopped. Overall we had a great time. Spent yesterday fishing and just plain relaxing. The daughter and wife loved it. My daughter now wants us to sell the house to go camping forever!

Hey, that's a very nice setup.P^ I take it the HD has enough power to haul everything, plus the kitchen sink.:)

It definitely does. I stroked the 88" ci motor to a 124" ci beast making 135 hp/149 tq SAE. Not too bad for a twin cam.

What kind of gas mileage did you get with that big motor and heavy trailer?

I get 32 mpg with just the bike/sidecar and 22 mpg pulling the camper full of gear.

It's 62 inches. Plenty of room going down a back road.

Ab, last year I took my ST1100/Hannigan sidecar to Alaska, pulling a Lil Bunkhouse. My best mileage was 30 and worst was 20. A friend from Oz came over and we shared riding/driving duties. We carried a tent for him in the trailer tub along with more stuff than we needed. We had the trunk on the sidecar full, Givi on the bike full and something in both saddle bags, we were well north of 1800 lbs! Oh I added a 7 gallon gas tank to the rear of the trailer, we had to pump from it 4 times in Alaska & Canada when we just could not find fuel. Your rig looks great and is the right size for you and the family, you will have many enjoyable trips with that combo!
