Just curious who has camping reservations for the event and who needs them.
Rick and I will grab a couple sites each if necessary but post up if:
1 - You made reservations
2 - You need to split a site with someone
3 - You haven't made reservations
4 - You'd like to split a site with someone
Thanks!

I'm code 3.
I just checked, the only site availabe is in area E, full hookups @ $29.00 per day. I passed on that one.

Looks like they gave us some bad info at the beginning telling us we shouldn't have to worry about reservations - next time we'll listen to Chief.
Anyway, please make a reservation and post when you do if you want to split a site with someone. Then, someone can post they'll share a site with you and we'll handle it that way.
Phone 479-761-3325
The sites that are left are $30 / night because they're elect and water so not cheap.
fredric, since you posted first I'll split my site with you if that's okay (#63 in the E area).

Man I’m sorry if this late miss information caused issue for anyone I know it cost me a few $$ myself. I talked to a lady in February and was told not to make reservations the two times I called. (Boy was she wrong)
I’m sure if you get there we will find a sport for you to camp even if we have to take down a few tents each night. :p
Again sorry!:(

I would fall into the 3/2 category. I'll try to get a reservation in, and would certainly be happy to split! $30/nite is a bit steep for me.
I'll be there Friday afternoon sometime.

Me too.. if we would have gotten some good info from them we could have grabbed up a few of the $10 sites.
See you Friday.

Put me down as code 3 and 4
I'm also bringing a guest maybe 2 with their tents.
I talked to the reservation desk today and there are no more sites in area A. The ranger said there shouldn't be a problem with an extra tent or 2 over the 2 tent limit as long as it didn't get out of hand.

Rick and I got sites in area E. It's $30/site but if you're bringing 3 then that should work and end up being fairly cheap so grab a res for one of those if you can.

I reserved space # 79 in area E. I think the gal at the desk felt sorry for the Dumb Okie riding a Scooter in. Anyway, Anyone that wants to, I am more than willing to split with Saturday night's cost.

I guess we'll just have to wing it.
There are no available sites Thursday thru Saturday nites.
Has anybody asked about a large group site?
We might all be able to save some money on one of those.
The original CampSTOC was setup in a picnic area when I asked the ranger for a large group campsite. Made for a great setup, we were by ourselves and didn't have to worry about bothering other campers.
Maybe next time.

I am like sandman, I guess I will wing it. I am a 3 and 4. If I have to I"ll do a little free style camping but maybe someone will let me help pay for a site and sleep out back.

Hopefully, they'll work with us, it's to their benefit.
I have a site in area B (#25). I am only one tent so someone can set up camp on my site. My fee was $18 per night.
My reservation is for Friday and Saturday night.

Mac if they don't have a site your welcome to stay on mine with Rob and me. We have power and water and I'm sure they will not notice a small camper and 2 small tents. If it an issue I can take it up and down each morning. :D
Heck if you want just plan on sharing with us and don't even cal DDSP. P^

Gents,
I will be at Area E site # 79 @ Devil's Den. If someone wants to split the site with me I am more than happy to. I'm in a tent and not a camper. Yes, it's a Camper Site with E & W, but that's what I got. I have Friday nite and Saturday nite reserved. After all, $60 is way more than I bargained for on this trip.
Of course, if your simply too macho to be seen with a scooter, I understand..... :D

I thought about sharing your site but I'm an old member of ST-Owners.com and been to lots of these type rallies. I thought it would be in everyone's best interest to allow the new guys that haven't done this sort of campout the room to share sites and get to know each other. You being on a scooter and my excess macho had nothing to do with it. :chop1:
Besides, no noobie should miss the opportunity to see MotoMac and George at work around a fire.

I don't know if I'll be able to get old Orlin up and moving early enough to meet up with you guys. He's liable to want to hang around the campground and BS more than ride a 400+mi day in the twisties.:D:D
If we get setup early enough on Thursday we'll run up to DD and meet up with you guys and plan from there. Otherwise I plan on being in line with you guys by 8:00AM Friday Morning.

Well, my brother and I had planned on making this one, but it looks like I missed the boat. Definitely should have made my reservations a couple months back. May go ahead and ride in anyway and hope for a cancellation. The plan was to be up there thurs night, so maybe I can scoop up a site, hehe.

Give it a try. You can always find a place at the Fort Smith lake SP as well.
I think most of us that camp are used to just showing up at a state or national park without reservations and don't typically have any issues... We got some misleading info from the beginning and we really should have known better. We won't let this happen again.
There's no reason to cancel, looks like the weather is looking great!

Hey Guys, just checking in from Hawaii.
Beeper and I have a site reserved w/ water and elec. I don't remember the site number or how much it will hold but anyone is welcome to set up as much as it will hold. We will be there Friday afternoon and will be in an Aspen camper with a bright yeller Wing. If anyone sees us and there is space at our site just come on in.

The ranger at Devil's den told me earlier in the week that there shouldn't be a problem with more than 2 tents per site since we were a large group coming in. He did say don't let it get out of hand. I took that to mean more than 3 or 4 tents would be unreasonable.

So, I would like to offer up Site 79 in Area "E". In fact, since the deposit was "non-refundable", I will call this site pre-paid for the first night (Friday night). It's reserved for Friday and Saturday night, so my loss can be someone's gain.
