Ever since I bought the DRZ, I have been looking for an economicle way to get it to the TAT start line. While looking though Craigslist for a Wing for a friend out here in CA, I came across this for $725. I added turn signals and loaded up the DRZ and am ready to go.

That DRZ had signals on it already... why not just ride it? ;)

Looks cool. I could actually use one of those right now.

The bike is street legal, but it is a 400cc bike. I intend to run the Western portion of the TAT in September and we are starting in Utah. Utah is a long run from San Diego to ride that little bike, so I will tow it. The run from OR back to Utah is not going going to be a barrel of laughs. This trip was just a trial run, and it was a good one. Everything worked well.

That's the coolest thing! How much does it weigh? I'd like to do something like that and tow my KLR.

I'm not sure how much it weighs, I estimate in the vicinity of 500 pounds.

Today on the way home from Crestline at 70 MPH with side breeze, 52 MPG. So I would imagine I'll average low to mid 40's.

Not yet, Rick. I havent spent a whole lot of time on it though. What do you think about posting on ADV for someone who lives nearby our starting point.
Another thought is a local motorcycle shop. ????

Church. I have had some luck parking in Church lots (after clearing it and parking way away from the church) when I had to leave stuff sit for a while. A friend would be way better....

Mac, either a Walmart or Sam's club would be good but not secure. A friends garage would be the best, if possible. BTW load up your toy and come on down to TWO in Suches, Ga. I will be there Thursday afternoon April 23 and camped out with my camper until Sunday the 26th. This is a gathering of the HTTA (Honda Transverse Twins Association). These folks love the old Honda CX/GL 500/650 twins (shaft drive), I had one a 1982 GL 500 Silverwing, I still love that old bike, wish I had never sold it! I may buy another someday. If you are in Ohio it would be reachable for you without too much effort. Don't know if you are familiar with TWO (Two Wheels Only) but it is a neat motorcycle resort, it has its own web site. Your toy hauler is great, I'll bet you get a lot of double looks on the road, they can't believe what they are seeing!
