Looks like nothing fell off. If it didn't shift around on you it is a good start. Nice looking ride. What year is it?

Thanks. It is a 2004. I used straps and bungees, so the gear didn't move around at all.

I've never been to BBNP even though I spent the first 20 (or so) years of my life in TX (Waco area). How was the trip?

Yeah, I have lived in Texas almost all of my life (I am 27 now) and this was my first trip to Big Bend as well. The trip went really well. We took a west, then southwest route there from Dallas which brought us through some really boring west texas land. The wind was pretty bad through there. Big Bend was great, camped in the basin, hiked to emory peak. The most enjoyable part for my wife and I was really FM-170 (river road??) from Terlingua to Presidio. Really mellow road with lots of great views.

I traveled out to BBNP back in October had a great time. I also camped up in the basin for it was the only campsite open due to the Rio Grand flooding the other sites. Hwy 170 is a must if you are down that way. When I rode the river road it was closed due to the flooding but I just went around the signs and kept going, I had traveled to far to let a road block stop me. I hope to go back someday with the family.

Your bike/set up looks great.
I have been to BB so many times but I still love going. If you find a way to get there that is not boring please let me know. :D

Nice looking setup! I've been there a couple of times and love it. I usually camp at Ft Davis SP and ride down to BB and the river road. I got stopped for speeding thru the park last time I was there, but the nice officer didn't give me a ticket. He certainly made real sure I wasn't carrying a weapon in the park tho. Don't even get caught with one in there.
