We are doing THE TRIP in July to Alaska and was wondering if the regular green propane canisters are as available in Canada as they are in the states? I use them for my stove and heater.
Any other insight to Canada and Alaska....fire away.
This is my first post, and I am loving this forum. Ya'll have great info. to share.

green propane is readily avilable in canada , if your route takes you through the northen city of prince george , population 90,000 . the down town core has a fairly high crime rate .

In a lot of towns in Canada, they have big box stores like Wall Mart, called Canada Tire. All with sports departments for all your camping and fishing needs. P^

i short story about green propane bottles , my dad has a little sail boat and he uses a two burner stove for cooking , he had bought a 12 pack of green propane bottles for it . i mentioned that it would be a good idea too get a full sized tank for the stove , rather than buying the little ones . he pointed to the twelve pack of green bottles and said " see those 12 bottles , i will most likely be dead before i use all 12 of them"
