Good stuff... so did all your gear work the way you thought it would? Any tweaks?

I'm really excited for you. My first motocamp still seems like yesterday. Now you will spend an exorbitant amount of time planning the next one.

Hooray! Glad you got your feet wet with out getting all of you wet! Dry is good for camping, far as I am concerned.
Nice do!

good deal Matt,
Glad you had a great time. Now that your first trip is behind you, your life has changed forever. You will work out every detail of your trip and adjust to suit your needs what worked and what didn't. Welcome to a new world, its a great place to be..

yes everything worked well . but, i did find out that i need an air pad under my sleeping bag. al i used was a thin foam pad and it sucked.
i had plenty of storage room on the Burgman. I had thought about selling it but this trip changed my mind.
i might be able to camp again this coming weekend. if so, ill make a few small tweaks on gear and how i pack it, and all should go great. i think im gonna try out mt. cheaha!

If you have a wal-mart nearby try looking for the airmattress in the picture in this thread:

It's about $9 and made of some tough material.. If you air it up then let some out so you sink into it a little it will provide a comfy night's sleep on a budget. If you can't find one I think I still have one and you can have it.

I'm thinking about going, not sure if I'll ride the Wing or the Burgman, decisions, decisions.

Glad you had a great time. Every time I've ever been in Al. it was in a semi so I didn't get to see that awesome looking scenery. Thanks for the pics.
