In what format (dog tags, paper, SD card) do you carry your ICE information while riding?? What information do you use for your ICE??:dizzy1:

It is the first entry on the cell phone call list. Entered as " ICE". The space moves it to the top. That is where the medics told me they look for it first.

Other than a phone, where do you have it. Dog tags have been used, along with taped on the inside of your helmet. SD cards or sticks have been used, along with Med cards in wallets.

I've read of a lady rider who wears computer USB jump drive on a necklace around her neck. On the drive she keeps all her medical records and phone numbers and address book. I think she also used it to store extra pics and other stuff. Keeping it on a necklace made it easy to find for the EMS. She may have had the ICE symbol on the drive too.

I was told by paramedics that using any computer flash drive could be a problem, due to possiable virus contamination. No one wants to load unknown data on their computer.

Nothings perfect. Seems like it would be better than info cards in your wallet though. But if no one will read it, it wouldn't do any good.

I keep mine in my wallet. It contains: who to contact, doctor, medication and allergies.

I've read about the dog tags, sd cards, wallet cards, phones, etc.. The accounts on other forums have been amazing to read, accident and your stuff is everywhere. My point in this thread is to get members talking and discover alternate location and tools to use. Information is knowledge to use or not use!! P^

I use a Medical ID card. One for the Wallet and one for around my neck. Went down to the PX and picked up a new ID chain, filled out the fourm and printed it, went to Kinko's to laminate them.
I figure my phone might not be around, even if it stays together and still works, and if I get taken to the hospital they will see the ID tag around my neck or ask me questions of which I'll give them the card. If the phone is in the trunk of the bike, then it won't do anybody any good including first responders as they will not look for your phone. They are there to help you and get you stabilized, so your on your way or heading to Medical care.

My doctor thought this was pretty good, and going into a Urgent Care Facility I handed it to the receiving clerk as they were taking me back. After she filled out my info sheet,
she was showing it to everyone working there, and asked where I got it. They have gotten three trojan virus from ID Flash drives, and will not use them unless they can't ask the person for their information.

Mine is in a very small, clearly labeled, vinyl sleeve that is stuck to my helmet's chin bar.

Food for thought.
Thus the reason for the thread, "Information is Knowledge" and knowledge can be used or stored. :think1:

I got my daschund micro-chipped.
Of course, you'll need animal control or a vet to scan it.
But sometimes I think vets are better than MD's...so it might not be a bad idea.
Not too sure the hubby would go for it.
:rolleyes::well
Not too worried. EMS, police, and hospitals are very experienced on how to find out who you are.
They have reports to fill out, insurance info needed, but most of all they want to know how they are going to get paid.
They will find your information somehow.
Most of us ride bikes that are registered in our names, or also registered to our spouses, so the police will run the plates/VIN if your wallet can't be found.
But, if you have medical concerns, by all means wear a bracelet or something with that information on it.

P.S. PLUS the ICE entry in my cell phone... (provided it can be found and still works after a 'get-off')....

That RoadID looks like a good product. It is readily visible to EMS and holds good information.
Got me thinking about our son when he was little.
Whenever we went to a place where there were a lot of people (like an amusement park), I always had his info on a card in his shoe.
I figured if he was upset, lost, or hurt he wouldn't remember who he was.
But he knew he could get the card out of his shoe to show to the nice person who was helping him.
If we crash on a motorcycle, the boot always gets cut off, not pulled, and it might be a good place to stash contact info.
