:tent1:I am looking to buy a new tent this yr. Does anyone know or have a Wenzel Tent. They are the only ones that I have found that have a 8x8 with a 6' dome. If you know of anything else i'm open. I found this at a company named CAMPMOR Thanks Rocker

Wenzel is a lower quality tent (and that is reflected in the price), but should be OK for normal use. For more $$$ look at the Eureka Sunrise 9. The Wenzel fly covers enough of the tent, so that should be OK in the rain.

+1 on what Dave said... It should be more than adequate for MotoCamping. We don't really put out tents through tough conditions and all it really has to do is keep the water out. Use some seam sealer as soon as you get it and the beginning of each camping season and that will help.
Campmor and I have been very close over the past couple years. :D

I use a Wenzel, I am happy with it. Bought mine at Wally World, it'll last until it doesn't then I will buy another....:)
My next one probably won't be a Wenzel, however. Having set mine up in the wind a few times, I will want one with rings for the ribs instead of sewn sleeves. The sleeves require a little more patience to get the stays in the right spot. Oh, and I gave up on the tent bag the first use. I now use some bits of rope to hold it all together:) I'm sure the bag worked fine to pack in the factory, not so much in the real world. But the fly is big enough, and it is CHEAP!

Campmor is my friend! :p I have been looking at these tents myself for something to take to a couple of rallies that I go to that are extremely dusty and rocky. My poor old Marlboro tent that I normally take has the tent poles taped up where they are cracked, etc. I love my Mountain Hardware tent but hate to abuse it at these events.
Has anyone found a less expensive one that has clips instead of the sleeves?

Steve, I know from your post's that you have been picking up camping items as you run across them at good prices. I would recomend a tent that has quick clips to attach the poles to the tent. Find a tent that suits your needs and keep an eye out on Amazon dot com. I was able to buy my Kelty Pagosa 4 for less than 80 dollars. Its just the tent I wanted for motocamping. Many tent prices are reduced there as the newer models come out. Good luck I hope you find a deal....

Eric, I keep forgetting about Amazon, that's a great price on that Kelty! Now that the wife isn't working, I've been looking for deals. She is going to have to go back to work, she is putting a strain on my lifestyle! :p:D After my trip to AK, I think I'm going to go back to work full time, I really like the idea of a new KTM in the garage! :)

I'll second what Big Tom says.....I bought one from Bass Pro Shop, I've used it several times. Keeps the weather outside, but it packs up pretty big, but any tent with the "tarp material" floor does. Just like Tom, once I took it out of the origional bag, it could never go back in, just used that bag for tent poles afterward
