Okay, didn't know what else to call this thread. This is by no means all that
original of an idea, just my implementation.

Switches:

I went with some Goldwing switches (Sanded Goldwing Switches (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57654&highlight=color)) here:

LED Lights:

I went with some Stingerz from Custom Dynamics (http://www.customdynamics.com/stingerz_led_accent_lights.htm)

I got two 3-LED Red strips, two 3-LED White strips and one 9-LED White
strip.

Dash Area

I put the two 3-LED red strips near the handlebars, I was going to put them'
under the dash but the double stick tape, even though it was 3m, didn't
seem like it was going to work well.

My thought process here is that the Red LEDs up front will give me a quick
view of the dash area but preserve my night vision. This isn't meant to be
use while moving, just as a way to quickly see that area or provide additional
lighting if I don't have a flashlight handy.

Rearward Lighting

I already had some 5-LED step lights located in the rear on the CB antenna
bracket. I was going to leave them there until I saw just how much brighter
these LEDs were. So I replaced those with the Stingerz.

Again, these aren't intended to be used while driving. My intention is easily
accessible lighting when stopped in a very dark location such as a campground.

Forward Lighting

I placed the two of the 3-LED white strips I had left on top of my PIAA
910s. I kinda like the effect.

LOL.. never did like relying on YOU for that parking light...

These lights are very cool... flexible, waterproof and very bright..

If someone wanted to add them as extra turn signal or brake lights they'd work very well.

Ya know, those rear LED's might work well for warding off tailgators! :D

Great idea!

I've been worried about leaving the dual headlights of my VFR on without the motor running while setting up camp in the dark. With the Holeshot pipe, the motor running could easily bother neighboring campers if they are already trying to sleep. I've had R/R problems with the VFR already, so I don't want to run the battery down any more than absolutely necessary. It looks like just a few strips of white LEDs (front and back, so I don't have to turn the bike around) should provide plenty of light for setting up camp without draining the battery as much as two 55w headlamps.

FYI, there's enough light that you really could get by with just a 3-LED pod on the front and one on the rear.
