Hi Everyone,

Went on a ride with some guys from over at ADVRider today and tried to represent MotoCampers in a positive light. :)

Most of the guys here today were from OK. We met at a little bar out in the middle of nowhere called Betty Lou's. They have great hamburgers if your in the area, but it's down about 2 miles of gravel road. Here's what the parking lot looked like when everyone showed up.

We road about 60 miles of off road travel. Some of it a little tough, but mostly country road.

Slowly, one by one, some of the guys headed back home. By the end of the day we were down to these guys.

Hey Ziggy, you might notice that one Wee-Strom made it to the end. All the rest were thumpers. Oh, and one KTM 950 Super Enduro, that thing was a beast.

Had a lot of fun today. I hope some of you guys can join in next time.

Guy

That's good to hear, looks like you all had a good ride. Those KTM's sure look sweet, I sat on one a while back, along with the 990 Adventure. I'm going to have to get a job when I get back from AK, I need some more toys. :D

Guy,
Looks like great fun!

I was all packed up last June to attend the Stampede in the Flint Hills, then got sick and found even climbing into bed a chore. Big plans are being made this year, if not for a June ride, certainly sometime. Which machine I take will depend on how much time I have, but gravel will most certainly be in the plan.

One way or another, I'll be avoiding 2" gumbo; I just don't have any gumbo machines (not yet anyway ;) ).

Well, Guy
Looks like you had a good day. Any day you can ride is a good day. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Hope to ride soon ourselves. Home chores finally caught up with us.:( Hope you have more days like that.:)

A DR650 might be a gumbo machine, but I don't have gumbo tires on right now. At one point I was riding along and before I knew what happened I was pointing in the opposite direction in the grass on the wrong side of the road. Somehow still upright though, so I decided to just go the way I had come, I was pointed that way anyway.
