We (my wife and I) have stayed in this campground once last year. It is a SC State Park campground and has volunteer host but maintained by SC employees. The park is within walking distance of the beach. The facilities are clean with host water. has a camp store. There is no laundry mat because the CG is outside the city limits without water/sewer connections. It is about 15 miles from Beaufort SC. The ride to-from the town is very nice. I recommend this for anyone moto camping. There are some semi-primitive sites and full hook ups for camper trailers. You can really relax here, Not too much traffic, great scenery and wildlife. Deer and squirrels will come up to allow hand feeding. I would suggest keeping all food items covered as raccoons are present. Overall a good campground!
