We (my wife and I) have stayed in this campground a few times over the years. It is a SC State Park campground and has volunteer host but maintained by SC employees. The park is within walking distance of the beach and although within the city limits is far enough off the beaten path to be quiet...except for the occasional jet plane take off (wake up call every morning at 0630). The facilities are clean with host water. Since this site is used by a lot of tourist, you can expect a full campground year round. Make reservations well ahead of time. It has a camp store and a laundry mat (coin operated). I recommend this for anyone moto camping. There are some semi-primitive sites and full hook ups for camper trailers. The camp ground is busy but not too busy with a ton of traffic unless you are on one of the main site roads. Overall a good campground!

Stayed there back in May during bike week. Had a great time. Biker wedding party added to the fun.

Be aware that the NO ALCOHOL rule is strictly enforced!
