Sitting here in Colorado this evening, unable to ride (too cold and seat is in the shop), just finished hanging Christmas lights (over 8000 bulbs), came in for a cup of hot chocolate and it started snowing, turned on the radio and one of the local stations is playing Christmas/Holiday music 24/7 until Christmas, I give up, I'm officially in the Christmas spirit.
Some of the songs played this time of year have the ability to bring back so many memories and some can even transport you to another time altogether.
So in the spirit of David Letterman, here is MY top 10 Christmas songs, Artist/version included.
I think it would be fun to hear your favorite or favorites as well.
1 Bing Crosby-White Christmas
2 Burl Ives-Holly Jolly Christmas
3 Elvis Presley-Blue Christmas
4 The Carpenters(guilty pleasure)-Merry Christmas Darling
5 Carrie Underwood(she's hot too)-Do you hear what I hear?
6 Baby its cold outside-Leon Redbone/Zooey DeChannel(also like Dean Martin version)
7 Believe (from Polar Express)Josh Grobin
8 White Cristmas(again)-The Drifters
9 Colorado Christmas-Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
10 Aspenglow-John Denver
There are so many good songs out there, I'm looking forward to hearing your favorites!

Anything by the King! :D
My Mom and my Mother-in-Law are huge Elvis fans, so you can guess what I hear during the Holidays. Of course according to them, Elvis could walk on stage and fart and it would be a perfect concert. :p

I agree on Bing and the King. It took me a while to like the David Bowie/Bing song but now its one that I enjoy hearing often this time of year.
Now the Ozzie/Jessica song is one that I have not heard. I do have some Ozzy on my ipod but no Jessica Simpson. Then again I don't have a picture of Ozzy in a bikini in my garage either.
Thanks for that one punk emo tx!

Im sure that's probably happened a few times with all those kung fu kicks and all that hip swiveling. I know if I did that for too long something would sneak out.
Sorry, im bored. I25 is closed just north of my house all the way to Wyoming and its snowing sideways. Ive already inventoried and repacked my camping gear twice.
I know some of you lucky buggers are out riding!

It's not snowing, but it's been blowing about 60 the last two days and riding leaned over far enough to touch the ground just to go straight ain't much fun.

I think you have that song confused with the Corona Beer advertisement:) Is Spanish for "Drink more Beer". I think.

That was a good one!:D I was reading in Rider about a web site that was called, "Kiss this Guy". The site is for all those folks who are unsure or have misheard the lyrics of songs and you can look them up. The guy thought Jimi Hendrix's song Excuse me while I kiss the sky, was Excuse me while I kiss this guy. Now you can look up songs that can't figure out the lyrics.

Saturday night live had a parity commercial selling an album called "Songs you almost know the words to" where the singer would sing the tag line and then hum the rest. It was hilarious.
Thanks for the website Steve and for acknowledging my stupid humor.

Silent Night, sung by my High School Choir (8 parts from alto to bass) at the Christmas Festival in 1964 (my last before Vietnam War duty.) I was in the bass section.
