With spring break for my daughter starting next week, I might just take her on a short ride and camp. :tent7:
Anyone else have any plans?

Hey Guys,

Saturday morning, my three daughters, ages 12,10 and 6, and I ,are leaving for Colorado. We plan to get to Palo Duro State Park Sat night and then Durango, CO on Sunday. We are going to camp near Durango at Vallecito Resevoir and make day trips up into the mountains, to play in the snow. I have heard there is a place in Silverton with a rope pull and they rent tubes. I mentioned this at a party recently and someone else said it was in Ouray. They are close together. I figure if I get in the neigborhood and ask, we will find it. We are going to spend a day or two playing in the snow and then off to Mesa Verde Nat Park. If we have time I may make a run for the Grand Canyon before we head back. There is a road in eastern AZ that parallels the AZ/NM border that I want to come home on. I drove it about ten years ago and it is one of the most beautiful roads I have ever been on. It is AZ 191 through the Apache National Forest. There are free campsites on the side of the road and almost no traffic. Then we are going to come home through El Paso and west Texas, we will probably take 90, depends on time. I'd like to camp at Davis Mt.s St. Park on the way home, I have never been there. I have no real "agenda" for this trip, once we get to Durango. We have nine days and we are going to play it by ear.
