I found this site while looking for mods for my dr650. I read only a couple posts and got really excited to go on a trip of my own when i get back. Im in iraq right now but im looking to buy some new toys to put on my bike. I want some new tires, seat, tank, and maybe change up the gearing, possibly change the sprocket. All input is welcome you all seem pretty knowledgable. Thanks for your thoughts.

Welcome to the site puck1999, you be safe over there in the sandbox. Keep your head down and be safe. I looked at a new DR650 the other day while buying an oil filter for my DL650. I may trade for one after my trip to Alaska this summer.
Mr. Guy has a DR650 that he has farkled out nicely, he can probably tell you what works and what doesn't as far as gearing.
Thank you for your service in the military, and stay in touch with us, and be safe.

Joe's so short he had to quit going to the beach. Everytime he 'broke the wind' he filled his shoes with sand.:)
Welcome. I'm currently a ST and KLR sort of guy. Look forward to meeting you somewhere on the road.
