I haven't seen anyone mention using hard warmers in there sleeping bags on those extra cold nights. My family has been doing this for years. We use these warmers:

They can be bought at Wal-Mart for a few bucks and I just keep them in the tent on winter nights in case I get cold. Just open it up and toss down by your feet for extra warmth on those cold nights. I usually carry enough for a couple nights as they can be picked up at most sporting goods and farm stores as well as Wally World.

I once used one in the pocket of my sweater under my riding jacket. Who needs electrics. Nice and toasty, well, at least not freezing.

10hrs of heat for .75 cents. That sounds good to me but the part about them being:
# Safe
# Nontoxic
# Nonflammable
# Environmentally friendly
# Contains all natural ingredients
Kinda scares me.
