For those of you who ride your motorcycles on highway 58 in California and need a place to stop for the night, this campground is perfect..in Tehachapi you exit highway 58 at 151 and go west to Steuber Road and turn at the Chevron station and go all the way to Harris Road and turn right, go all the way and you'll enter to campground. Its a small campground and there wasn't alot of campers there when we were going through there. Theres no fences and your just feet from the airport landing strip. Of course its a small plane airport and no one was flying when we were there... and was it quite really nice.....Its got flush toilets and showers and no traffic......I think it was only $14... The picture to the left under my name is from that campsite. Can't tell much but its really quite and clean.....Down on Highland Road and Curry theres a ranch that has Clydesdales, we stopped and took a look and the guy there rode one over to us and WOW those things are big....Well thats it for this one...Remeber while your riden in the desert....have plenty of water and keep your shrit on.....sweats a good thing..
Ride safe........

Nice find, Shadow!
I can't help but think of this song. Name that band and song. Very large bonus points if you can name the original album.
"I've been from Tucson to Tumincari
Tehachapi to Tonapah.
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
driven the back roads so I wouldn't get weighed...."

The howl of a Coyote, and the grinding of train brakes on the Tehachapi Loop just to help you sleep.

Ahh! What can be more soothing than that. That's a good lullaby!
