Went for a nice long ride today. Beautiful morning. 50 degrees, no wind. Sunshine.
While coming home, the wind picked up (you know the kind, where your leaning sideways like a sailboat).
It kept getting colder and colder...nose starts running...driving through dust devils...discover all the drafts in the riding gear.
Big clouds to the north (towards home).
You want to hurry, but can't go fast because the wind won't let you.
Now its snowing and really, really cold and windy.
Glad I got that ride out of my system.
But, I did get to check out my new Tourmaster Transition 2 jacket without the liner (idiot)...AWESOME jacket.
And I discovered my max miles on the tank before I had to switch to reserve.
So it was a good day...cold or not, I rode.

Those are the rides you never forget! Glad ya had a good time and got home safe. I rode most of the day today, left the windshield at home. A little buggy and the temp dropped down into the upper 70's as I was getting home. I'm heading out in the morning to a swap meet where I hope to fill the saddle bags with goodies for the bikes. :)

I've had those "It's a beautiful day, I wont need my liner." days myself. Idiot is what I thought too. :D

Yeah, I missed that part when I was the kids Den Mother...you know, "always be prepared".
Maybe Mr Guy can bring his handbook and we can study it around the campfire at the camp out.
Get lots of goodies at the swapmeet, Ziggy. Those 100 packs of tube socks are always a good deal.
And Trailace, I know what you mean about the snowflakes...crawling along at snail speed with the flakes coming at you...kind of like the Star Wars ride at Disneyland. Thats in California...the Left Coast...land of movie star governors.:o
Good Times:):):):):)

Last July headed for Auburn and the 49'er rally we hit snow as we were passsing through Mammoth (SNOW in July?) Wish I had been prepared for it. I was amazed at how well it clean my windshield. Could not have done a better job myself.:D

Very nice Keith!

The parking lot looked more dangerous than the Interstate did....
