Wished I'd have known this stuff long ago!! It works every bit as good as the marketing describes!!

Basically it's a gadget with a butane cartidge as a fuel source that heats a repellent pad who's vapors/fumes put up a 15' to 20' flying insect umbrella around you. Best thing is, it works, and it works VERY WELL!! :D On a recent motocamp trip, I camped next to water twice and after about 15 minutes of the ThermaCELL doing it's magic, there wasn't one single flying critter in my site. Not one...(HATE Mosquito's)

I've seen them listed for $24 or so for the basic kit, which is the burner and one repellent kit. I picked mine up for for $21 at Gander Mountain. The butane, repellent pads are good for 12 hours of protection. The fuel can burn for 12 hours and there are three pads that last for 4 hour each. Each pad is individually wrapped, which comes in handy. I bought a holster for mine that holds the burner and two complete repellent kits, $10 and it had a $5 rebate.

I'm not going to yammer on other than to say this thing REALLY works. They have a website, www.thermaCell.com.

I think I saw some of those at wal-mart, was curious how well they worked.

Mosquitoes love sweat so the best think you can do it take a shower. Then some deet spray if they're still messing with you.

But, these things look like a cool extra step.
