I read about these in Motorcycle Consumer News. They reviewed a number of polyester type undershirts and underpants. These were rated the highest versus Patagonia, Wickers, Columbia, Duofold, and others. I wanted to be cooler in the summer and believe that wearing this clothing under my riding coat & pants will help.

I have never had any of these but have read the pages on Cabella's web site many times. Not only are they for heat they also make them for cold temps. When I can convince myself they are worth the money I will own a set of each.

I have one of ExOfficio's t-shirts and 2 pair of their boxer-briefs and am very happy with them. They wick moister away from your skin so you stay dryer and more comfortable in the heat. They are quick drying also, I just wash them in the shower with me and hang them on a tree limb. That way I can travel with just 1 spare set of cloths. They pack very small too. T-shirt, boxers and pair of Smartwool socks all fit in a zip lock bag. That and a pair of swim trunks and sandals is usually all the cloths I carry, other than riding gear.

I bought a pair of Underarmour Heat Gear compressions shorts and I really like them when you are putting on a lot of miles in one day. They keep you cool and the compression fit seems to help out with the dreaded Monkey Butt.

Guy I will have to try a pair of these.

+1 on the under armor.
I use it nearly year 'round. I officiate high school sports (football, basketball and softball) and do several games in the very hot NC summertime. The UA gear really works, although expensive.
I tried it out last summer on a week long trip to the NC mountains. 95 degree days. Really , helps the circulation while riding and keeps my pants from getting the wet rear end fell tat attributes to chafing. They are washable in a sink with mild detergent and will air dry in a couple hours. So you can get several days without actually having to washing machine 'wash them.

I now own 4 sets of the Ex-Officio long sleeved top and long legged bottom. I wear all the gear all the time. Before I bought this stuff, I wore shorts and a T shirt under my riding gear. In the summer heat, I had a H*** of a time trying to get my jacket off. No problem now. This stuff keeps me much cooler and drier. I also wear merino wool socks. They also soak up the perspiration and keep me cooler and drier.
Get some. I've not owned any other brand.

I've heard good things about the merino socks as well, but I've used the Smartwool brand socks and have never ended a long riding day with sweat soaked socks, rain soaked yes, but never sweat.
