Forgive me fellow dual-sporters for I have sinned. Today I....I.........I cleaned my bike for no good reason. I know the only two reasons to clean a bike are if you need to work on it, or if the mud is getting so heavy it effects handling. Oh, it started out innocent enough, I needed to clean and lube the chain for the big trip. But then I noticed the chain rollers. They should be clean to operate properly shouldn't they. Then the chain guide, it's part of the drivetrain isn't it. From here I got out of control, just look at the under side of the fender. It was madness I tell you, I was out of my mind. Next thing I know I'm cleaning off the tail light, someone might want to know if I'm stopping. Where does it end? Before I can get a grip on myself the seat, tank, and headlight are clean. I can see out of my mirrors and read the speedometer. At this point I begin to recite Poe from memory.

So, my fellow dirt riders, forgive me, it was temporary insanity, I promise.

Guy

P.S. I hope Trailace and Chief won't be to ashamed to ride with me.

You're forgiven, I like to clean mine before a trip so I can gauge how good of a time I had by the collected grime after I get back.:D
