New Wireless Style added

I did this over at ST-Owners and thought I'd do it here too.

For those of you that access the site a lot via your cell phone, it typically
takes a while to load and perform some operations due to all the images that
are trying to load.

Now, the site will detect if you are on a cell phone and change the style to
one that will not try to download all the images, providing more of a textual
look but a much faster interface.

Please let me know if you have problems with this.

Sorry to tell you this Joe, it is nice for some users, but I have a Pocket PC phone that is very capable of viewing it the normal way and now I can’t. Most Phones I know of that have Browsing Functions, convert pages for Mobile viewing anyway; I know my last one did. Don’t get me wrong, I checked it out and it works well, but I have no choice of how it gets viewed now. Is there a way to do this?

BTW, I use Opera Mini on mine and it is just like viewing it on a Desktop PC.
Mobile IE sucks, so I can see how this would help those users.

Choosing the style is a future mod. I'll look at other options but it's not all that simple at the moment. You'd have to log in to choose the style... the auto detect is pretty cool but should then ask which style you want and give you that option.

What this does is speed up the wireless experience. Not all the images are downloaded and until the faster browsers are more common, the pages load pretty slow but with this style, it's much faster.

Yep, a choice would be nice.
Most, if not all the mobile sites I have been on, have a different addy for them, such as an M/siteaddy or M dot….like… http://www.m/motocampers.com or http://www.m.motocampers.com

That would be a nice option if that could be done.
Again, don’t get me wrong, nice option but….lol
