Alright, I've had my Pico for a little over 6 months and takin it along on at least 7 trips. I can honestly say that its been a great chair. As with my Kermit I take it along every trip. The only difference is I use my Pico. Having owned both and tipping the scale around 260 lbs. I really do fit the Pico much better. Was never happy about the fit with me and the Kermit. The Kermits a fine well made chair but just not for me. I realize that the Pico is rated at 250 lbs. but im willing to bet as with most products it actually exceeds that limit.
The Pico sets up in a matter of 15 seconds or so where my Kermit didn't. This is someting I would never do with the Kermit, leave it out in the rain.

Had a friend who did while camping in the rain at the Kern River. The material on the Kermit shrank and I still get a good laugh everytime I see him try and set it up. He too has switch over to a Pico.
The Pico chair will probably not last anywhere as long as a Kermit. But I'd rather spend the money every other year or so for a chair that I will actually sit in when taken along on a trip.
If I could do it all over again I'd go to Costco and buy me Micro. Same chair, just no mesh inserts, same manufacturer, and $80 less.

All I did was google the words "micro chair" and it led me to an add on ebay. I believe it came up in the Outdoor sports, camping & hiking, sporting goods, and funriture.
While at ebay I did a search for "Pico Chair". 4 came up with the best deal being this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/GCI-PICO-Arm-Chair-Camping-Fishing-Hunting-Sports-NICE_W0QQitemZ230288897212QQihZ013QQcategoryZ16038 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem. Its still not as good a deakl as ther Micro offered at Costco here in SoCal. at $40.

Does your costo have the chairs now?
If so, Can I send some in S. Cal a money order to cover two chairs and shipping? I know it often is a pain in the ass to find time to go to the post office or the UPS store.

I've looked in numerous Costco's between Fresno and Sacto, haven't seen a Micro chair yet, you know how Costco is, buy it when you see it, because tomorrow it will be gone.

A friend of mine found the micro chairs for $50 if anyone is interested. Cheaper than spending $129 for the same exact chair just because it says PICO on it. I'll be ordering two...
Anyone else find the pico rip, tear and sag where the mesh meets the nylon? Thats one of the reasons I rather have the micro over the pico, that and it cost $80 less

As of tonight (09-26-08), Amazon is selling them for $99.99 through Brookstone.
I also went to the Brookstone site and they are selling them for the same price.
At least thats a little bit cheaper than usual:eek:
I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy a couple...the last trip sitting on logs and rocks was enough to convince me.

Here in the Denver area, there is a store called Sportsmans Warehouse and they sell them also at $99. Cash and carry. I haven't got mine yet. Still trying to decide. For my small dual sport, it might be a bit more than I want to carry with all of my other stuff.

If you're looking for a MICRO chair, keep your eyes open and watch on E-bay. I just bough one there for $16.50 plus shipping.
Such a deal !

I just got my Pico Chair today.
1st thing, I was surprised how heavy it was... then, I set it up and it's a Real chair... so, the weight is very justifiable.
Very easy to setup. Very comfortable. It will fit packed either on the rear seat of the ST1300 or the Turbo Tom rack I'm now using.
I also wish the bag it comes it didn't have extra stuff on it but I understand why since it's an integrated caddy.
Even with it being a little heavier than I expected, it doesn't weigh a ton by any means and I have a feeling I will bring this along on all my next trips.
I tried to find the Micro chair but was unsuccessful so I just bit the bullet and got the Pico.

I am pretty sure the Pico has a lifetime warranty... so you only need to buy it once......

Friendly note- That is not the Pico chair... that is the Xpress Lounger which does not fold as small as the Pico.

Friendly note - the post indicates that they also carry the Pico, not that this is one.

That's right about what I paid thanks... I waited for a while thinking these would drop in price but they just never have.

My bad... I clicked your link and saw the Xpress not the Pico. I mentioned it only because many others have mistaken these two chairs as one & the same.
Good price!

Size and weight count a lot for us, so this fits the bill.
